The A5000 Alpha is a desktop computer released by Acorn Computers Ltd in September 1993. It is a minor upgrade to the original A5000, upgrading the CPU from 25 to 33 MHz and providing a socketed MEMC1a chip. The latter change simplifies the installation of an 8 MB RAM upgrade. PCB layout remains identical to the earlier model.
